What is a home defibrillator?

A home defibrillator is an automated external defibrillator (AED) kept in your house, ready to use if someone has a sudden cardiac arrest. It delivers a controlled shock to help restore a normal heart rhythm.

Unlike public AEDs mounted in shopping centres or train stations, a home defibrillator is right where most cardiac arrests actually happen. Around 80% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur at home, often with no warning.

The device talks you through every step with clear voice instructions. No training or medical background is needed. Anyone in the household can use it.
